BRAND IDENTITY: An Analog Film Collective
The challenge
How do you give an online film photography collective a visual identity that feels as considered, expressive, and tactile as the photographs it showcases? An Analog Film Collective needed a recognizable brand world that could celebrate different photographers and visual styles while capturing the magic of shooting on film.
The gig
As the graphic designer, I developed a visual identity rooted in observation, curiosity, and the physical language of analog photography. The identity needed to work across digital and physical formats while remaining recognizable to a diverse creative community.
Behind the scenes
I built the identity around the act of seeing:
Designed a logo featuring an illustrated eye inspired by a camera shutter and lens.
Wrapped the collective’s name around the eye to create a cohesive and memorable emblem.
Developed animated graphics for digital platforms.
Designed stickers to extend the identity into physical spaces.
Adapted the visual system across digital and physical touchpoints while keeping the collective’s identity clear and consistent.
The impact
The result was a distinctive visual identity that reflects the curiosity and character of analog photography. The illustrated eye became a memorable symbol for the collective—part lens, part observer, and part invitation to look closer. Across animated graphics and stickers, the identity gave An Analog Film Collective a consistent way to connect with photographers and audiences both online and off-screen.
